About The Artist

Selena Mize is a professional Latina artist, figurative painter, and muralist residing in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Midwestern State University in 2013, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018.

Being skilled in both acrylic and oil paint, her experience in studio art has helped her develop a body of work from very small canvas paintings to large murals. Her work focuses mainly on portraiture, and how it intertwines with the elements of art to create playful and vivid imagery. She is best known for her realism, use of color, and shapes. Selena’s murals are primarily done by brush.

Post college, she has partnered with several local businesses in the Wichita Falls and other surrounding areas. Selena loves giving back to the community through public art, and is a strong advocate for working artists. Since 2022, she has partnered up with Walmart to create mural designs for their stores across the country.
